Does a vaccine mean tax hikes for the middle class?
With more people getting vaccinated we’re seeing the country open up more and more, but will that lead to more tax hikes? That’s the burning question in today’s Millennial Minute as we look into that and the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021 from the Joe Biden Administration.
To help us with this we’ve got Ajay Bruno and Max Burns, two friends of Bold TV and two friends of mine, who will help us look into these potential Biden tax hikes.
Ajay Bruno first takes a look at the new American Rescue Plan from the Biden Administration. He says that sure we can hope this means taxes on major corporations, but who’s to say these corporations won’t just then raise prices on everything we buy from them? He says that in the end even the little guy will be held responsible be it a tax increase or otherwise.
Max Burns says that it’s very possible for Joe Biden to keep his promise and not give any federal tax increase towards the middle class, especially when you look at the structure being laid out with the American Rescue Plan.
Is this spending problem possible without tax hikes for everyone, and not just the wealthy? Ajay Bruno thinks we’re going to see more than just a wealth tax, and that the Joe Biden Administration not breaking a promise seems very unlikely.
Whatever happens, according to Max Burns, we need accountability. We need to make sure those we are holding those in office accountable.
