The real estate industry has seen tremendous changes in 2020 and 2021, but what’s next for the housing market? To get real estate advice and look at the future of real estate in 2021, we brought in an industry CEO!

Welcome back to Bold Business with Philip Michael! Be sure to like, subscribe, and hit the notification bell for all things BOLD, and for more business news and real estate news.

Joining Philip Michael today is Bess Freedman, CEO of Brown Harris Stevens, as they discuss the truth about real estate in 2021 for New York City, nationwide, and looking at international real estate, as well.

Will We See More Homeowners In 2021?

Bess Freedman says that it just depends on what housing market you’re in. We saw a lot more homeowners in 2021, and now into 2021, but it just all depends on the supply.

The Future Of Real Estate Trends Nationwide

With the rise of homeowners in 2020, 2021 is certainly starting to see a rise in very limited supply nationwide, according to Bess Freedman. It’s not that there’s a bubble, but people are reimagining their space and understanding the importance of real estate. People reimagining how they want to live, and what they want their home to look like really helped the housing market overall. Rates will probably stay historically low, and the future of real estate is looking good for 2021.

NYC Real Estate Trends in 2021

For a while, Bess Freedman says, we had oversupply in the NYC real estate industry, but that’s tightening. But with that being said, people want to move to, and return to, New York City.

A lot of people want to write the obituary of New York City, says Bess Freedman, but New York City will bounce right back. It’s not dead at all, and you can see that when you’re there. It’s not at the levels we were at before, but it will. It will just be a little time, but NYC real estate is selling, and people are coming back.

What Brings In The Next Generation To New York City?

We need to come together and unite on what is best for the city. Bess Freeman says we need to make tax laws that are reflective of economics not politics. The next generation should get involved, especially with the primary of the New York City mayoral race on June 22nd.

Global Real Estate Advice

Like anywhere in the world, to find success in global real estate you just need to know the housing market of where you’re looking.

What Does Brown Harris Stevens Look For In A Real Estate Agent?

Bess Freedman, and Brown Harris Stevens as a whole, takes pride in the culture of Brown Harris Stevens. They hire good people who want to focus on real estate and make sure they are taking care of their clients, and do the right thing.
