What is a conservatorship?
Conservatorships are legal arrangements that take away someone's control over their decisions based on an impairment. It’s alleged right now that Britney Spears isn’t allowed to make decisions about cell phones, whether or not she can have more children, or get married because of the conservatorship.
These legal arrangements and conservatorships in general have been abused for years, especially with older folks through these conservatorships.
Yes, Britney has had her own troubles, but it appears that this arrangement has gone on too far, and it appears that her father, Jamie Spears, is profiting off of her work and she isn’t seeing much of the money.
The Britney Spears Conservatorship smells rotten, and we all want what’s best for her. We love Britney and her music, and we at Bold are happy to see how the abuse of conservatorships is being rightfully exposed.
Sometimes, it unfortunately takes a Hollywood pop star’s troubles to bring these issues to our attention.
