Kanye West and Drake both just released albums. Kanye’s ‘Donda’ and Drake’s ‘Certified Lover Boy’ (CLB). First Kanye West’s ‘Donda’ achieved the number 1 spot on the Billboard Top 200 Albums chart and had the biggest week of 2021 and Drake’s ‘Certified Lover Boy’ broke the record of the biggest week of 2021 a week later.
The Kanye West Drake beef started back in 2018 when one of Kanye West’s minions Pusha T revealed to the world that Drake had a child with a porn star. There were many tracks released dissing each other like ‘Infrared, ‘Duppy Freestyle, and ‘I’m Upset,’ and then there was the release of ‘The Story of Adidon,’ which claimed that Drake hid his son from the world. It all stopped eventually with rumors claiming that Drake issued cease and desist letters against the other two.
More recently, Kanye West leaked Drake’s home address on Instagram and then Drake leaked one of Kanye’s tracks ‘Life of the Party.’ Obviously, this caused a lot of buzz and talking about both of them and their albums. These rumors are bringing ears to the music but only the music will get the listeners to stay.
