As the brand settles Mr. Peanut into his new home in Minnesota. The company is donating the $5 million it would have spent on a Super Bowl ad. They gave Cedar Valley Services, a company that provides disabled individuals with support for employment, residential services, and social programs, a $10,000 check.

Now that Mr. Peanut has moved to Minnesota, they recognized the importance of maintaining the lands and nature of Minnesota. Planters decided to donate another $10,000 to Conservation Minnesota, who protects the land and wildlife of Minnesota.

They also hosted a contest allowing one person to book a two night stay in their 26 foot long peanut on wheels (the Nutmobile). All contestants had to do was pay $3.59. This is how the Planters' Mr. Peanut, the 116 year old snack brand, entered the state of Minnesota.

Should more brands be doing these kinds of campaigns? Let us know in the comments below!
