Bitcoin Is At An All-Time High
Bitcoin is one of the most famous cryptocurrencies and is at an all-time high and is hovering at more than $66,000. Investors claim that the cryptocurrency Bitcoin is a great way to beat inflation, as rising prices make dollars less valuable. This ballooning of Bitcoin value is thanks to the debut of the new Bitcoin ETF (exchange-traded fund). This allows investors to bet on Bitcoin without actually owning any of the cryptocurrency Bitcoin.
Emergency Siren Vehicles Are More Harmful Than Effective
Several studies are showing that emergency vehicles sirens are harmful and not very effective. Firetrucks, police cars, and ambulance sirens actually make emergency vehicle drivers engage in more risky behavior. In addition, loud noises in urban areas actually negatively impact people’s health. One study showed that sirens shaved anywhere from 42 seconds to three minutes of the time of the trip to the scene on a call.
When you are in the car, you are probably not hearing the sirens until the last minute, thanks to your car’s modern insulation that blocks high-frequency sounds and our blasting Spotify playlists. When people do hear sirens, they tend to freeze and don’t move out of the way.
