Labor Shortage Made Worse By Hiring System
There’s a labor shortage with millions of jobs open, meanwhile finding a well-paying job hasn’t become any easier. If you’re at home submitting endless applications with no responses, you are not alone. One reason this is happening is because of outdated online job application systems. They were designed to remove ‘unqualified’ people and essentially ghost them, but they haven’t been updated to the completely different post-pandemic job market. Today’s hot labor market is different and now companies are desperately looking for someone who can do the work. Unfortunately, their own job application hiring systems are getting in the way. But don’t lose hope, you’re not alone and these companies will eventually realize that they have to reinvent their hiring systems according to the new post-pandemic job market. This will hopefully make their job application systems more human.
Democrats Finishing Up Massive Spending Bill
Democrats are putting the finishing touches on the massive spending bill. This bill will drastically affect Washington and the role of the government in the US. They’re planning on targeting the 1,000 richest people in America through a wealth tax. This wealth tax will have billionaires paying a yearly tax on everything they own. While this move is popular, it has had varying results in other countries.
