With Amazon Prime, you can buy practically any product, no matter how niche, and have it delivered in as little as one day, but the monthly cost is going up from $12.99 to $14.99. The price increase is in line with the price increases of many other products on the platform. Is Amazon still worth it for Gen Z?
Gen Z is attempting to break into a difficult job market, which is characterized by fast inflation and slow wage growth.
They're either still in school or on the lookout for their first job. In any case, it's a difficult financial scenario to manage, and decreasing expenditures can be a good option. Rather than ordering food from Amazon and having them delivered, a trip to the grocery store may be preferable.
This way, you can purchase only the products you require rather than paying a minimum price to avoid fees or paying a tip. Many people, of course, rely on Amazon's services.
There are ways to make it fit your budget, whether it's getting groceries delivered, entertainment, or fueling a casual shopping addiction. There's always an option to split the cost with roommates or siblings, especially if you find you're doing a lot of the same things with Amazon.
You can also establish a monthly limit for how much you can spend on Amazon. It's so easy to walk in and find a million items you want to send to your house right away. Setting a budget and sticking to it, on the other hand, will keep you from overspending.
