Do you have your own Netflix account or do you rely on the services of others? No. We share passwords with our friends so that we can all watch our favorite shows together.
They even encouraged it. Those days, however, are about to change. Netflix will continue to enable users to share their accounts, but they may raise membership costs to make up for the lost revenue.
According to a survey from HowToGeek, up to 24 million people have a Netflix account that they don't pay for.
So, with so many new streaming platforms like Disney Plus, Paramount Plus, and Peacock, why the sudden shift? Netflix now has more competition than it has ever had. Cord cutters strive to avoid paying for every streaming site they want to use in order to save money when they can.
You'd be paying the same amount as a cable subscription if you were paying for five or six streaming platforms. Customers can access their Netflix, Hulu, HBO Max, and other subscription services on many devices at any time.
This is something they have no control over. However, the number of devices and accounts that can be signed into at the same time will be limited. If you pay more for a premium subscription, you will be able to stream multiple devices at the same time.
