Millennials started buying homes at last as a result of the pandemic-related pause of student loan payments and the breathing room provided by stimulus payments.
Housing prices continue to rise.
But without being held down by student debt, some millennials are finally on the winning side of things.
The typical millennial's net worth is currently at $127,000, according to Axios.
In 1989, boomers of the same age had a net worth of about $132,000 at that time.
But keep in mind that they didn't need to accrue years' worth of debt in order to be able to obtain a respectable job; instead, they could afford to pay for college while earning the minimum wage.
