Quiet quitting, coasting culture, working to rule, and lying flat all mean the same thing.
There's a new trend in which you accomplish the bare minimum at your job without drawing any notice, increasing conflict between workers and management across the board.
Workers quietly leave for a variety of reasons. It is possible that they are dissatisfied with their current position and are doing the bare minimum while applying for new positions.
They may also believe that management has mistreated them or that they are attempting to be fired in order to receive a severance payout.
It's much easier to take this approach now that hybrid and remote work environments are becoming the standard in our country, but it also highlights the worth of an employee who doesn't require much supervision to complete their job.
Would you quiet quit a job? What issues will develop if more people are buying into coasting culture? Let us know in the comments below.
