To be frank, let's start off with this: I don't like Twitter. Right now, it's a toxic waste dump of bullying, negativity, political extremism, and random censorship.
And let's mention that it has a business model that defies all logic. And my personal Twitter is basically a graveyard. But Elon Musk might be taking it over, and there are many changes in the works. Maybe people like me will come back under the right conditions. But first, and this is a big one, Elon has to figure out how to make Twitter profitable. The founder of Twitter, Jack Dorsey, has said that it never should have been a business. That's a bad sign.
Now, Elon paying a crazy amount of money for Twitter means that he'll have to double down on making it a real business. Payments are supposedly going to be a big part of the new Twitter, and a lot more changes are still unknown. And there are a lot of issues to tackle. Bots, political and media insiders constantly fighting each other, and much, much more not-so-nice stuff. We need to change today's Twitter. Let's be honest; it puts us in a bad mood.
And I make sure that everyone who works with me stays off of it so that Twitter stupidity doesn't infect our content creation. Maybe the new decentralized, Elon-run Twitter will be better. I'm crossing my fingers for a better future for the online global public square.
