Real Estate is seen as a great investment, but will that hold up in the next decade? Right now, there are affordable housing shortages almost everywhere in America. But that might change as baby boomers near the end of their lives.

And there's really no one coming up to take their place, demographically. Population growth has dropped off. So, in a decade, we actually might see an oversupply of housing in many areas, especially in places that are already becoming depopulated, like New York State and Illinois.

Wall Street and wealthy boomers have made the housing market a nightmare for young people. But the good news is the pain won't last forever. So, buyer, beware! If you're thinking your real estate investment will continue to go up in value through infinity, think again.

You might want to look at population decline and how our real estate shortage might end up being a real estate bubble in the not-so-distant future.
