The Satanic Temple, a group of non-theistic Satanists, are requesting that the city of Boston fly their flag outside of the Old State House. The satanic temple is based out of Salem, Massachusetts and they claim that because the city has given permission to other religious groups to display their flags in the past, it should also be allowed to fly its banner. They are requesting this in reaction to a ruling by the Supreme Court this week. The Supreme Court ruled that a Christian group did not have a right to fly its flag outside of Boston's City Hall. The temple says that other religious groups don't ask for equal access and it's only fair that they do too.
