3:44Now PlayingWill Smith is threatening to take legal action against Chris Rock and Netflix for poking fun at him. This raises the question of why someone would resort to a lawsuit over being the subject of a joke. After all, we've all been on the receiving end of a joke that was funny and harmless. If a joke offends Will Smith, then perhaps he needs to develop a thicker skin or not take himself too seriously.
The other question is why would Netflix comply with the demands of a celebrity? Of course, it is not suggested that they should cater to Will Smith's sensitivities, but in today's world, couldn't Netflix simply respond by acknowledging his concerns but standing by their decision to include the joke in their program?
