Joe Biden’s new tax is ‘all to push a big climate change and welfare’ agenda

The Washington Examiner’s Brad Polumbo says President Joe Biden’s newest tax is “all to push a big climate change and welfare spending push”.

President Joe Biden called for lawmakers to back a multi-trillion-dollar budget package, which included an increased tax on the nation’s wealthiest individuals and corporations.

Mr Polumbo said the move was “right out of the pocketbook of Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, of Bernie Sanders, other Democrats like this”.

“Unfortunately that’s who President Biden has decided to embrace and channel within his own party with his latest tax-and-spend push.

Mr Polumbo added the “green climate new deal stuff” isn’t going to “stop hurricanes and earthquakes”.

“He knows he can say this and it will rile up the progressive base in the left in America, which really cares about climate change and unfortunately doesn’t care so much about economics.”
