The Great Storm of 1854 wreaked havoc on the encamped British, French, Turkish, and Russian armies in the Crimea and wrecked more than 37 ships in the Black Sea. The damage would have a cascade of unintended consequences and further the already abysmal logistical problems the Allied armies were experiencing in the Crimean War.
