~~Video Description~~

This is a 'question' / accusation that gets brought up all the time whenever I make a video about slavery. The ultimate in deflection, it's one of the more offensive and utterly ridiculous conspiracies surrounding the Transatlantic Slave Trade. Unfortunately, it is also apparently a fairly prevalent one, at least if YouTube comments are anything to go by. Ultimately the people who most need to hear this message will not do so, and instead I look forward to their algorithm-boosting angry comments. All the same, someone has to play this ideological game of whack-a-mole on occasion, so here I am ready to do my part.

An article about slavery in the southern United States you may find interesting

And finally, a website about the slave voyages themselves that I've only just found, but is likewise seems to offer a lot of interesting information
