~~Video Description~~

The evils of slavery are, more or less, well understood today. Beneath all of its worst elements, however, many of the 'day to day', more mundane aspects of how the slave trade actually functioned are far less so. In this video, I explore the topic of "slave insurance" and how this seemingly dull subject is actually an incredibly important part in understanding the reality of the Transatlantic Slave Trade on a financial, logistical, and even moral level.
