To clarify, Kouri Richins will not face the death penalty.
That was agreed upon pretrial after consultation with Eric's family.
I can't help but think at some point his family probably loved her. Kouri and Eric were married for about 9 years before she went off the deep end.
Likely too, Eric's family did not want the mother of Eric's children dead.
Personally, I support the death penalty in crimes against children and mass/serial murder cases, but not all murder cases. What do you think?
As for Kouri, being locked up, likely, for the rest of her life, is perhaps a punishment worse than death.
Kouri will be sentenced on 5/13/26.
