Breaking Barriers United was formed to bridge the gap between law enforcement and the community. As tensions have grown between law enforcement and the community, we recognize the future lies in the hands of our youth. With this realization, Breaking Barriers United invests in our youth by relationship building and mentoring programs.
One of the ways we are doing this is through our ChoZen program. ChoZen, is our leadership and career development program. This program will educate students about the profession of law enforcement, develop leadership skills, and also teach our youth how to be a successful citizens through lessons about personal finance and resume building.
We hire local law enforcement to teach and mentor the youth in your schools. We know that not every student will become a police officer, but what we do know is that after high school these students have choices to make about their future. We want to come along side of these students as they begin that journey.
