as posted by the channelOn May 20, 2024 San Diego Police received a 9-1-1 call regarding a robbery and assault with a deadly weapon. San Diego police arrived and approached the suspect in a parking lot. Tasers were ineffective and the suspect ran on foot with police behind him. The suspect eventually takes a homeless man hostage and officers use deadly force and the suspect died at the scene.
This is not a critique. The officers did a phenomenal job, but I do want to ask you the question, could the officers have used deadly force before the suspect got to the hostage? Let's watch the video together and discuss.
