Activists in Denver Colorado Face Felony Charges For Protesting

Anti-racist activists in the Denver Area are being brutally repressed, they are facing serious felonies and potentially many years in prison for a range of charges linked to mass protest. This repression is part of an attempt to crush the movement for justice for Elijah McClain.

Organizers had SWAT teams arrive at their homes and even in parking lots of stores. Police vehicles surrounded them and arrested them when they were alone.

Police arrested and charged Joel Northam, Lillian House, Russell Ruch, Eliza Lucero, Terrance Roberts, and Trey Quinn with numerous counts. Combined, the six protesters face 33 felony counts and 34 misdemeanor charges. Each faces years in prison if convicted. Several of those arrested are members of the Party for Socialism and Liberation.
