Port Truckers Fight for Fair Wages, Benefits

Truckers at California ports are petitioning to unionize with the Teamsters union and be treated and paid fairly. Drivers for XPO Logistics Inc. are denied health insurance through their job and face poverty wages because they are unfairly classed as “contractors” rather than employees.. Kristal Romero, Port Division Coordinator with the Teamsters, explains the situation and their demands.
