President Biden announced today that he now supports setting aside the filibuster to pass a federal law for abortion rights. This announcement comes after mass public pressure, including hundreds of marches in the weeks since the leak of the Dobbs v. Mississippi decision that overturned Roe, and the refusal of Biden to end the filibuster and let a simple majority vote through the Build Back Better Act earlier in his presidency.
