Google has publicly refused to negotiate with YouTube Music workers since they unanimously voted in favor of unionizing and joining the Alphabet Workers Union-CWA in April 2023. Sam Regan, a YouTube Music worker and a worker-organizer at AWU-CWA, discusses the layoffs and how they won’t stop workers across Google and Alphabet from continuing to fight back against Google’s illegal union-busting behavior.
