Solidarity protesters in all five boroughs dropped banners calling for the New York Road Runners to stop partnering with TCS, which provides banking and financial infrastructure services to the Israeli government.
An October report from South Asian political collective SALAM called the Tata Group, India’s largest conglomerate which includes TCS, a “key enabler” in Israel’s occupation of Palestine. "[Tata’s] complicity is comprehensive,” the report noted, “providing the hardware of genocide, the machinery of daily oppression, and the digital backbone of apartheid.”
