0:54Now PlayingSaif Abu Keshek from Spain and Thiago Avila from Brazil, two activists from the humanitarian Gaza Sumud Flotilla, appeared in Israeli court on Sunday.
According to lawyers representing the two, Abu Keshek and Avila face accusations of affiliation with a “terrorist organisation and contact with foreign agents” and “assisting the enemy.”
Other flotilla participants and the Israeli human rights group Adalah have alleged severe mistreatment Abu Keshak and Avila at the hands of Israeli forces, including torture, physical abuse, and being kept blindfolded and in isolation.
The court extended the pair’s detention by two days.
