The private sector's involvement has completely changed the game — comparing NASA's dated aesthetics to SpaceX's sleek cockpit makes old space look embarrassing. Watching the launch was gutting in the best way, bringing back the deep Challenger disaster trauma Gen X never fully healed from — that 73-second mark hit like a truck. Having a toddler dressed as an astronaut watching it live somehow made the whole thing even more surreal and emotional.
