In this video, I talk about the conversation surrounding eating disorders, public concern, and why someone being sick is not a moral failing. Using the ongoing discussions about Ariana Grande as a jumping-off point, I explore how quickly concern can turn into judgment, body commentary, and public shaming. If we genuinely care about people struggling with eating disorders or other health issues, we should be asking whether our words are actually helping. Compassion, boundaries, and support are very different from turning someone's body into public discourse. This is a conversation about empathy, accountability, and why we can address harm without treating illness itself as a character flaw.
