Today we sit down with someone who knows something about covering a president during a pandemic that consumed his presidency.
For the entirety of the Trump administration, Maggie Haberman was a White House correspondent for The New York Times. She joined The Times in 2015, and soon found herself covering Donald Trump’s unlikely campaign. She’s part of a team at the Times that won a Pulitzer.
We talk to Maggie today about where journalism goes after the pandemic. What the Trump administration got wrong and what it got right during covid, and where that leaves others political figures - including Joe Biden, Andrew Cuomo and Ron DeSantis.
