Or just get a Macbook Pro for studio and the road? The Macbook Pro M5 doesn't come in Pro or Max chips yet, so it's basically useless with 10 GPU cores, same as Air. Since this video I've tried my fiance's Macbook Air M4 with 24GB ram upgrade and it couldn't even play my clips with a little film grain on them. If you like colour grading, Air is out. Said 1.5 hours to render a video my PC did in 6 minutes. So the real debate is 14 inch vs 16 inch Macbook pro.
Macbook Air is out of the question after trying my fiance's taking 1.5 hours to render a short video. I'm leaning 14 inch Macbook Pro m4 Max 64GB 2TB with 2nd monitor for at home. Or wait for M5 Max lol. Sounds like much faster GPU performance in the M5 chip.
