Following Arkangelo’s death, the family filed a $1-million-lawsuit against the police. This week, a publication ban application by EPS was shared with media. The application says the shooting has been framed as a "cold-blooded" killing or "execution," motivated by Arkangelo's race, leading to "a credible threat" to the life of the officer involved. The lawyer for the Arkangelo family says the police's application is "unprecedented."
