YouTube Description
as posted by the channelFrom the CBC archives, here is rare colour video from Halifax between 1939 and 1945, as the country was in the midst of the Second World War. There are familiar Halifax landmarks as well as a few familiar faces, including footage from one of British Prime Minister Winston Churchill's visits to the city. This footage does not contain any audio, so music has been added.
There are some military and political officials we have been able to identify in this video, and others remain unknown. If you recognize any dignitaries or civilians, please leave their names in the comments.
