In 1992, The Kids in the Hall was an international hit on both the CBC and HBO. Scott Thompson was known for his character Buddy Cole and his outspoken, look-at-me style. He was also openly gay and discussed his childhood and his insistence on reclaiming slurs with the fifth estate.
