as posted by the channelBack in 1986 Monika Schnarre was fresh off of her Ford Supermodel of the World win and had graced the covers of Flare, Chatelaine, Sports Illustrated and Vogue Paris. And she was still only 15 years old. Bob McKeown follows the teen from her hometown in Scarborough to major fashion shoots in New York. Monika's mother tells McKeown that her daughter won't let her attend the photo shoots, because she has to act sultry while working - very different from the sweet, unassuming teenager she is at home. the fifth estate also looks at the other side of modelling - opportunistic conventions where hopefuls pay to appear and slow periods between work. Schnarre went on to pursue acting, making guest appearances on soap operas and sitcoms and later studied broadcast journalism at UCLA.
