U.S. hiking tariffs on Chinese EVs will be ‘favourable’ for Canada: expert | Power & Politics

The U.S. plans to increase tariffs on Chinese electric vehicles, advanced batteries, solar cells, steel, aluminum and medical equipment. The tariffs are to be phased in over the next three years. Flavio Volpe of the Automotive Parts Manufacturers' Association says as a result, ‘Canadian exports into the U.S. market are going to be much more favourable.'
