Saskatchewan pushes Ottawa to ban the use of AI for voice cloning | Power & Politics

Saskatchewan is calling on the federal government to ban robocalls that use artificial intelligence to clone voices. Spearheaded by Saskatchewan Justice Minister Bronwyn Eyre, the push comes after the U.S. Federal Communications Commission ruled that robocalls using AI-generated voices were illegal and proposed a $6-million US fine.
