as posted by the channelProject backers hope the train will take passengers from Toronto to Montreal in three hours — a journey that normally takes about five-and-a-half hours by car. In addition to Quebec City, Montreal and Toronto, it would serve Trois-Rivières, Laval, Ottawa and Peterborough.
A spokesperson for Transport Minister Anita Anand wouldn't confirm the announcement because the contract has not been awarded and finalizing it could take several more months.
