As Democratic senators vow to force a vote on limiting U.S. President Donald Trump's tariff powers, seven Republican senators have signed on to an act that would require the president to notify and justify tariffs to Congress. New Hampshire Sen. Jeanne Shaheen is the top Democrat on the Senate foreign relations committee. With Trump threatening to veto that bill and the world trying to make sense of the president's tariff policies, Shaheen tells Power & Politics that the tariffs are 'ultimately bad for the world economy.'
