as posted by the channelTwo people are in hospital after a motorist struck four pedestrians on a walkway at Toronto Metropolitan University Tuesday afternoon, police say.
The incident happened just before 2 p.m. ET on Nelson Mandela Walk, a pedestrian pathway on the TMU campus near Yonge and Gerrard streets, Toronto police said in multiple posts on X Tuesday. When police arrived, the driver had fled the scene.
Toronto paramedics say four people were injured and two were taken to hospital, including one with serious but non-life-threatening injuries. They did not provide any other information about the victims.
