Now, the City of Richmond has invited registered owners of those properties to a meeting next week to help them better understand what's at stake.
CORRECTION (Oct. 29, 2025): This video includes the incorrect statement at 0:15 that the B.C. Supreme Court decision covered 7.5 square kilometres of land in Richmond, B.C. In fact, the ruling states that the Cowichan Tribes and the four other nations that make up Quw'utsun Nation have Aboriginal title to around 800 acres of land, which is about 3.2 square kilometres.
