Powerful winds that triggered an Environment Canada alert this week pushed back Lake Erie's waterline, briefly revealing a 22-metre schooner shipwreck.

Diver Matt Vermette first mistook it for an old dock before realizing it was the 'skeleton' of a long-lost vessel. A local historian says Pigeon Bay's shallow waters have caused countless ships to strike hidden reefs and sink.
