A CBC investigation has uncovered outlawed nicotine pouches that are not approved for sale by Health Canada, readily available at corner stores. CBC speaks with reporter Idil Mussa, as well as David Hammond from the School of Public Health Services at the University of Waterloo.

CORRECTION (Dec. 3, 2025): A previous version of this video included an interview about the availability of illegal nicotine pouches in Canada. In that segment, visuals of Zonnic nicotine products were inadvertently shown.

In fact, Zonnic has not been outlawed in Canada and it is the only brand legally available for sale at pharmacies.

The previous video also displayed two flavours of Zonnic products, both of which are no longer commercially available. This segment has been removed.
