China deal likely gives Canada 'strength' in U.S. free trade talks: Sask. premier | Power & Politics

After joining Prime Minister Mark Carney in Beijing, Saskatchewan Premier Scott Moe says the meetings with senior Chinese officials had 'the most positive tone' he's seen since his first visit to China in 2019. Moe acknowledges that Canada's agreement with China will likely factor into U.S. talks on renewing CUSMA, but argues that 'solidifying some of our other trade channels' could strengthen Canada's position.
