Agents will not carry out immigration enforcement duties while abroad, a source at the embassy said.
Despite assurances that there is nothing unusual about the deployment, Italian politicians criticized the involvement of ICE in next month's Games, highlighting how the image of the United States has been tarnished in recent months.
