Alpine skiers looking to medal at the Milano-Cortina Olympics will not only worry about the competition but also the Stelvio slope, a course with a 1,010-metre vertical drop that routinely sends skiers flying down at more than 100 kilometres per hour.

Just ask Team Canada’s Jeffrey Read. He clocked in at 131 km/h during training on Wednesday.
