as posted by the channelThe federal government’s electric vehicle incentive program returns today, offering rebates of up to $5,000 on each vehicle priced under $50,000. Eligible vehicles must be made in Canada or in countries with free-trade agreements with Canada. The program runs until March 31, 2031, unless funding is exhausted sooner. Rebates are issued on a first-come, first-served basis. Chinese-made EVs are excluded, though critics are raising national security and privacy concerns.
