It's time for Mexico to 'reduce' cartel influence: Former Mexican lawmaker | Power & Politics

Former Mexican congressman Agustin Barrios Gómez says this week's cartel violence was a 'relatively small cost' for the killing of the drug lord known as 'El Mencho.' He says Mexicans are tired of cartel violence and that President Claudia Sheinbaum must pay attention to their call for action. Gómez argues it is possible for the government to reduce cartel influence if there's enough political will.
