Witness testimony continued Wednesday in the murder trial for disgraced South Carolina attorney Alex Murdaugh. He is accused of killing his wife, Maggie, and 22-year-old son, Paul, who were found shot outside the family's Colleton County home in June 2021. A digital forensic expert testified in the morning as part of the prosecution's examination of data from cellphones belonging to Murdaugh and the victims. Sgt. Dathan Varnadoe, of the Colleton County Sheriff's Office, was called to the witness stand in the afternoon.
